19 May 2008, Tokyo, +12-7=5km

I finally left the apartment! After having stayed there for ... nearly 2 months? Gee...
The typhoon didn't seem to be coming soon. I hoped I might be able to go out of Tokyo till it starts raining in the late afternoon.
I told good-bye to the workers of the apartment, and put on bags and other stuffs on my bike outside. When I put on the front bag at the end, I heard strange noise, and something red fell off. It was a part of the holder of the frontbag! Broken? How come? I bought it only a week ago, used it only a few times. Was the bag too heavy? But it's Rixen Kaul! Tough German product! No, it shouldn't have happened...

"Having the strap of your sandal come apart is a bad luck." It's an old saying in Japan. Nobody no longer believes in such. But it still came to my mind. It was at least bad enough for another 2500 yen.
I went to buy the holder to a shop, then to another shop, and more.
I first went to Shinjuku, which was 12 km away from the apartment, and ended up in Akiwabara, which was only 5 km away. Now it's raining. I have no hotel reserved, am stuck in a Macdonald's.
