I left Samarkand in the morning, with planning to go to Buxoro in three days. However, as I had lunch in a town which was 35km away from Samarkand, I noticed the room key was still in my pocket. I forgot to return it to the guesthouse. I hesitated a while, but decided to go back to Samarkand. Only 70km on the flat road. It was still early in the afternoon as I returned.
The owner of the guesthouse appreciated my coming back faithfully. But somehow I sensed that I probably didn't have to worry so much. Later I visited the mosks in the centeral square where I hadn't been because of the expensive entrance fee, and confirmed that it was not really worth entering. Well, well. Never mind. Experience should more important than imaginary conclusion.
The distance between Samarkand and Buxoro is 280~90km. I'll try to go in two days from tomorrow, instead of three days. It's going to be a good practice for Turkmenistan, where I'll have to cycle 540km in 5 days, actually in less time because of the checkpoints on the borders.
