15 Jan 2009, Esfahan, Iran, 12760km

I finally started moving again. I was in Tehran for more than 2 weeks. Gee...
I wonder if I missed talking to others so much. That's the only reason that I can think of, why I stayed so long.

There was a Japanese cyclist ("charidah" in Japanese) in the same guesthouse. He joined me till the next city for one and a half days. It was fun to have a company for a change.
We met three French cyclists on the way. They were going to the airport to send their bicycles by a cargo plane to India (Oh, I envied). We cycled together for a short while.
They were all so young (one was 19!) and their bikes were all so fast with large wheels and thin tires. 28 inch wheels (theirs) vs 26 inch wheels (ours). Just like the difference of the length of our legs. I had to pedal more times to keep up with them.
They all had air horns on their bicycles. Were those to celebrate when a French soccer team won a game? I forgot to ask.
Every bicycle has got a character, with some unique devices. It's always fun to see other cyclists' bicycles.

It snowed for two days on the way. My Gore-Tex shoes got soaking wet in a day, though I also wore short spats together.
It was still cold after the snow. I had to go over low mountains, and camped one night there. It was freezing cold.
I felt abnormal chill on my spine soon after I arrived in Esfahan, and got high fever at night. I got cold.
Lazy and soft.
