1 Feb 2009, Darab, Iran, 13560km

It's getting warmer and warmer day by day. I took off a sweater first, then a windbreaker. There are many palm trees on the way, and greens in fields. The weather jumped from spring to early summer in 10 days.

I happened to get invited by a family in the evening. A nice cheerful family they were, with a cute baby.
About ten relatives came to see me later; adults and kids. But they said they usually visited each other like that a couple of times a week anyway. The relationship with relatives is so strong in Iran. They are like one big family. When one looks for a job, they'll find it for him. I once heard so from another family.

One of the uncles was an English teacher of a middle school. He invited me to his classes next day, saying that would be a good experience for his pupils to speak with a foreigner in English.
Boys were awkward in the beginning, but soon started to ask me so many questions (mostly in Pershian though). I joined three classes. It was like a long interview. I got exhausted at the end.
When I left the school, tens of boys came to follow me in the yard, asking for writing something in Japanese or my e-mail address on their notebooks. Such a chaos it was! It was impossible to reply to all. I got out of the crowd with help of the teacher and his nephew, almost like escaping.
It was quite an experince for an ordinary person like me.
