I had to go to the city office in Matsumoto, in where my official address was, for moving out of Japan a while.
I didn't know the office was closed on Saturdays (the woman on the phone was surpirsed to hear such question as I called and asked on the way), had to hurry, but was too slow to reach there on time, gave up in Suwa where was 38km away from Matsumoto, had to change to a train (to an express! there was no local train coming in an hour).
Were I nicer to the woman in charge on the phone the other day, instead of making her a bit upset with my short temper, I wouldn't have had to pay for trains, using a locker, in the first place come all the way up to Matsumoto.
Everything went alright, though. I "handed back" the document as the woman requested, and paid everything I had to. Actually I met her, said hallo to her, sharing bitter smile to each other.
When I came back to KamiSuwa station, I took the foot bath on a platform there. I've been to the station quite often, but it was the first time that I took the bath. It was nice. I could skip going to a public bath of the day.
