26 Jan 2009, Persepolis-Shiraz, Iran, 13279km

Persepolis! Alexander the Great! Even a dummy like me know the names. (I mixed up "Sufism" and assassination with hashish when a Polish philologist of Persian in Tehran told me about her major subject. She gave me no comment. Oh, embarrassing... Why couldn't I just shut up?)
Some ruins seemed to be too much restored (did they use concrete?) which was a little disappointing. But I was still impressed. The pillars, or the relieves that I've seen on pictures of history books, are in front of my eyes. I've come that far.
The sun shined for a change, and it was warm. I enjoyed the sightseeing, and the ride to Shiraz after that.

I have only 10 days left till my second visa is expired. The distance to a port is about 1000km. I'm afraid I'll have to extend my visa of Iran again. But I've heard Shiraz was a good place to do.
