There was no restaurant, no shop between the small towns of yesterday and today for 83km in the desert, except a spot where they sold melons in a few tents along the road for drivers. A 4kg of melon was my lunch today. I couldn't finish it all though I was hungry and thirsty, ate only sweet part in the center. Luxury.
I passed by a place where must have been covered with water a while ago. There were greens, and salt appeared on the surface of the ground. I tried if the salt was actually salty. Hm. Yes, it was a bit salty, but more dusty. I didn't want to try more than once.
The scenery changed a lot today. Dark grey stony mountains. Clayish hills in red brick color. Yellow brown desert. Rocky pass. A valley shined in orange with sunset. I was impressed by the facets of the desert.
