I went up another pass. Again the altitude on the sign board on top of the pass (3184m) was different from what the altitude meter of my wrist watch showed (2880m). The climb itself was more gradual and easier than the one of yesterday.
The sun had set as I got to the top. It was getting dark. I camped around the top. My tent got frosted instantly while I was cooking dinner. Coca-Cola in a pet bottle was also partially frozen.
Though I had warm food, my nose kept on running. My toes got numb from coldness. I had to put on more clothes. I wondered if all the clothes I had would be enough for higher altitude.
It was a torture to take off my pants for toilet at night. I slept poorly with lots of dreams. The atmosphare was great though.
