I stayed in Almaty another day after all. I had some things to do, like going to a bank to change TC, going to a post office to send away unnecessary things therefore I got more space in my bags to keep food, spending time in an internet cafe to check information. All for changing my plan, where to go next. I'm now trying to go to Tagikistan via Kyrgistan, instead of Uzbekistan.
The idea has been in my mind since I met the French cyclist in China. He said it was the best place in his trip. Pamir high way. It must be great. But I was afraid it would be too cold by the time I got there. Besides, I was sick while I applied visa for Uzbekistan. It was suppose to be a safer route. "I'll try on the way back, maybe." I told others while waiting and chatting at the consulate.
However, the plan to go to Tagikistan has become more and more tempting and solid in my mind as the days go by. Some people have been there in the late September or in October. It must be cold but not impossible. I've cycled up till 2800m. What it would be like over 4000m? I'll probably have no more chance if I don't try it now.
It rained a lot last night. The air was crisp this morning. Leaves of trees along streets have bigun changing colors, and falling. People wear jackets. Summer has been gone quickly.
I see high mountains in south have white on top. That's where I'm heading for. They look like a fortress. But I wanna try.
