I had visitors in my camp-site yesterday. Horses. They came alone eating grass around. They looked big in close distance. But they were naive, never came too close to me.
The route was in steppe all day today. The land was in hay color, still greenish here and there. The temperature was below 20 degrees. Sunshine was warm but air was crisp. There weren't so many cars running. When they were gone, it was so quiet. I only heard breeze on my ears as I cycled, and the sound of my own tires.

I was stopped by a Kazak family who were standing beside their car with its bonnet opened. Their car was in mechanical trouble, and they needed a small wrench which I happened to have. They complained they were waiting for a long time since nobody else stopped for them. I felt sorry. As they also asked me to share some of my water, I gave them a bottle of water together with a packet of chocolate. They laughed so much about the chocolate. The water was meant for the radiator. "You are a good man", they said, and gave me a box of tea instead.

A beautiful day it was in Kazakhstan. Tomorrow I'll cross the border to Kyrgyzstan.
