alt.3815m~4230m(4655m on map)~3295mI went over Akbaital pass, the highest pass on Pamir Highway. I had expected a tough climb. But in fact it wasn't. The beginning of the road was steap, but then changed to gradual. The wind was following from north for a change. It turned out to be a rather easy climb. However, I was happy when I reached to the top. The highest pass on Pamir Highway! I enjoyed the view around.
It was cold on top. My nose kept on running, even with wearing lots of clothes. I'm afraid I was catching cold.
The landscape on the way was awesome. It was mostly way down after the pass. Though it was the third day since I entered Tajikistan, the deadline to register at an office, I wasn't in a hurry any longer. It was Sunday. Offices should be closed. I stopped here and there, took pictures, walking around sometimes, and enjoyed a comfortable ride.
I still arrived at Murgub early. The office was actually closed. I stayed in a guesthouse (specially for cyclists!), was the only guest that night, took "shower" (just hot water filled in a tank, use it with a bucket) after 6 days, had nice dinner and relaxed.
