I finally left Iran by boat, crossed Persian gulf to United Arab Emirates.
A 2nd class seat costed $100. And I had to pay another $25 for my bicycle. The man charged me $50 in the beginning, then reduced it "secretly" but at once as I complained. I thought it was still expensive though.
At the port I saw many passengers of the boat who'd got big-big amount of luggage on huge carts. The volume looked even bigger than my bicycle with the bags. I wondered if I really needed to pay for my bicycle. Iran... I was there for two months. I met so many people.
Most of them seemed very religious. But some were not. Not only a few.
Many seemed to want more freedom, especially youngs. Foreign tourists often had opportunity to have "illegal" booze. I met a rich man who had satellite TV secretly in his house to have fun. Female singers are forbitten to sing in public, but many people listen their songs in cars, which were recorded in abroad. I heard complaints to the goverment quite some times.
Regulations were strict. There were so many "must not"s. But people don't follow the rules blindly. In that way, Iran was more "normal"(from our standard, of course) than I had imagined.
Majority of them were just so nice to me, and gave me good memories.
