10 June 2008, Gyeongju, 965km

I came to Gyeongju. It's not far from Ulsan, only about 35km away. I was going to pass this city and go to Pohang, a next city, but the view of Gyeongju was too atractive to ignore. Besides, I needed to change money before banks closed. I had only 49000 won left in my wallet. (Staying in a motel costed me 40000 won in Ulsan. One ordinary meal costs about 2500~5000 won.)
Gyeoungju is like Nara in Japan, an ancient capital.

By the way, guess what's the most significant difference between Korea and Japan that you see while you're driving on a route.
